Victoria Charleston

Parliamentary Candidate for Salisbury Constituency and Salisbury City Councillor for St Paul's Ward

Victoria grew up in a military family and her passion for helping people has led her to a career in the charitable sector focused on tackling Violence Against Women and Girls in the UK.  She is currently the Managing Director for a national charity which educates young people about stalking and has helped to drive through groundbreaking national laws to protect victims.

Victoria settled in Salisbury with her husband and two young children who attend a local school and nursery.  She lives with her family on Macklin Road in the heart of the city.

As joint leader of Salisbury City Council since 2021, Victoria already works hard on behalf of Salisbury residents and has a deep understanding of the city’s diverse needs. She has overseen significant environmental improvements across the community  including electric vehicles, recycling bins, and tree planting as well as working on food insecurity and youth engagement.

Salisbury is where I was married, where I have made my home, and where my children were born. I understand all too well the problems people are facing with NHS waiting times and cost of living crisis because me and my family are facing them too. I will push to protect our NHS, improve livelihoods , and tackle the climate crisis. I and the Lib Dems have a plan to ensure a fair deal for our community.

I am standing as I believe Salisbury deserves a proper community MP. More and more people are voting for me and the Liberal Democrats in Salisbury and South Wiltshire as they want change and know a Lib Dem vote is the best way of achieving this.

Victoria Charleston

I want to represent everyone in our area and stand up on behalf of those who struggle to be heard.
